MEET JENAYE MERIDA
Marketing First. Design Second.
Beautiful websites are important—but they're only effective if they communicate clearly.
Before founding Merida Creative, I spent ten years working in publishing and marketing, where I helped authors, organizations, and brands tell their stories and connect with their audiences.
I began my career at Lifeway, serving as both a Publicist and Marketing Strategist, where I developed publicity campaigns, marketing strategies, and messaging for books and authors. Later, I joined K-LOVE Books/WTA Media in a dual role as Literary Agent and Marketing Manager, helping authors shape their platforms while leading book launches and marketing initiatives.
That experience fundamentally shapes how I approach every website I design.
I don't simply think like a designer—I think like a marketer and public relations professional. Every decision, from page structure and messaging to calls to action and SEO, is made with one question in mind:
How can this website better communicate your value and move people to take action?
Today, I specialize exclusively in Squarespace website design, combining over a decade of marketing experience with thoughtful design, copy strategy, and SEO best practices. Since becoming a Squarespace Circle Member in 2021, I've designed nearly 50 custom websites for law firms, financial advisors, authors, musicians, nonprofits, professional service firms, and businesses across the country.
